Tropical Blue Bamboo Plants This is the amazing Tropical Blue Bamboo, Bambusa chungii. The pale blue appearance of new culms adds a mystical effect to your garden. Also called Emperors Blue Bamboo & White Bamboo. As are all tropical bamboo species, this is a clumping bamboo and does not spread uncontrollably. The temperate bamboos, grown in northern climates, are mostly runners (we do not specialize in temperate bamboos). 3-gallon bamboos are 2-3 tall. Also available: 7, 15, 25, 45, 65 95, 200, 300 gallon sizes as well as field-grown specimens.
