I got a tuxedo cat a while ago and his name is Mr. Mooney. I have painted in bright colors for years and then suddenly I found myself painting in black and white. I think it was the influence of Mr. Mooney. There is a whole series with different sizes and shapes of paintings in this series. Some are about 4 foot long and only 5 wide! I call those Mr. Mooney Tails. ;) The joke is, that Mr. Mooney is a Manx cat, thus no tail. heh The prices vary from about $225 - $999-ish. The robot feels rather out of place in this sea of Mooney. This is an amazing illustration by WWII artist Robert Taylor of AVG CHENNAULTS FLYING TIGERS. It is a very large and heavy piece Boldly hand signed by 16 of the famous pilots on December 7, 1991 during the 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. This rare historical piece includes signatures by David Tex Hill (18 1/4 Victories), Squad Leader Bob Neale (15 1/2 Victories), Charles Older the Charles Manson Trial Judge (18 1/4 Victories), Dick Rossi, R.T. Smith, Ken Jerstedt, Jim Howard, Joe Rosbert, Bob Layher, Charlie Bond, Donald Rodewald, Duke Hedman, Bob Raines, Bob Keeton, Eric Shilling, Ed Rector, and the artist Robert Taylor. Too many accolades for all these pilots known as the American Volunteer Group (AVG) in China, who flew P-40 Tomahawks that shot down 300 Japanese aircrafts and destroyed another 300. The signing was done at the Kings Crown Gallery in Tustin, California. Here is a chance to own a remarkable piece of history that would look stunning hanging on the wall of a WWII buff or an Aviation collector. The actual print measures 33x25 and the Museum quality frame (The framing was $1,000) measures 40x32. It is a large heavy piece so pick up locally or delivered in a 30 mile radius.
