The lower RCV section applies amplification to its pair of discrete inputs (1/4-inch) to bring external audio back up to eurorack levels. It is also equipped with a switch to select the amount of amplification, either +12 dB or +18 dB. The right side input is normalled to the left, so if no plug is present, the right RCV output (3.5 mm) will copy the left. When interfacing with a stereo pedal, this leaves an extra SND pair on the module, which can be used for parallel processing or as an additional line output to a mixer, interface, or amplifier. ±18 dB is suggested for high-fidelity pedals, and ±12 dB for rackmount or line-level processors. Audio Fidelity Xchangr’s connectons are AC-coupled specifically for audio signals. This means control voltages are not meant to pass through the module, and any DC offsets will be removed. The inputs of the two SND sections use first order low pass filters just above 25 kHz to attenuate any high-frequency noise in the signals like EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). The signals also run through 1.5 Hz high pass filters to remove any DC offset just prior to being output. The inputs of the RCV section employ 5 Hz rumble filters to reduce any unwanted low frequency noise prior to being amplified back up to eurorack-level. The combined filtering sections, along with low-noise buffering, allow only the desired parts of the signal to be processed and returned. The result is clean and undistorted external stereo effects processing. Leo Scala now builds Gibson Custom Shop guitars that sometimes list for more than $50k. This guitar is extremely resonant acoustically - as resonant as one Lentz I owned (I have owned over 300 guitars - this and the Lentz being the most resonant of all). First time with these pickups, and I love them. Very sonically pleasing clean or dirty. To my ear they sound like original Joe Bardens. Ergonomically comfortable due to the contours and light body. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard and vintage tele style finish look. The neck is from another Scala Logic that was swapped (text in bold italics below from previous listing). Paperwork from photos not included with the sale (I dont have it). Last photo is from the Scala the neck came from (previous owner swapped). This is a very early (2008), one of a kind custom guitar from Leo Scala when he worked at the Kramer custom shop. Swamp ash body with beautiful crazing from the nitrocellulose. Hipshot bridge with tremolo arm. Signed by Leo on the back of the neck (to the original owner Rob DeFisher, as also seen on the paperwork photos ). Of course his signature logo is on the front. Gotoh tuners. Dimarzio pickups (how cool is the middle pup specifically ordered upside down to be place directly near the bridge pup!). Youd be hard pressed to find a Scala guitar in this price range. Hes currently doing Gibson Custom Shop one offs, some which are selling for $60000.

Up for sale is a 1950s solid koa gold label Kamaka Pineapple soprano ukulele. Excellent structural condition, with just a few scratches and scuffs and a couple of small, stable cracks. Plays well, but like any seventy-year old instrument, would benefit from a basic set-up and fret dressing. Neck is straight and original bar frets have only light to moderate wear. Excellent volume and classic.warm Hawaiin tone. A lovely, enormously musical instrument. Only condition issue apart from those mentioned above is that back brace below sound hole has what look like chisel marks on treble side, but this has no apparent effect on tone or stability — sounds and plays just as a classic Kamaka should. $350 firm. Priced well below market value — a collectable, handmade solid koa instrument for the price of a midrange Kala or Ohana. Comes with period chipboard case in good condition. Note: photos show the instrument with a new set of Waverly friction pegs, which currently have a landed price of almost $150. For sale, these will be replaced with generic friction pegs that closely resemble those originally installed on the ukulele. If you’re interested in purchasing the instrument with the Waverly tuners, I’m open to selling them as well, but would want close to replacement cost. Please contact me for exact price.
