Here is a great sounding and easy playing 1988 Gibson RB-250 Mastertone 5 string banjo with a nice TKL hard shell case. This is technically a Greg Rich gibson-era banjo, Greg started in 1987. All Nashville factory condition with the exception of a wagon wheel logo Remo USA head,Sullivan 5/8 Crowe spaced bridge and new Diaddario EJ60SS strings, the same gauge as a GHS JD Crowe studio set. This the second one of these that I have owned, it does have a rosewood factory fingerboard, and a three-ply rim, and all Sullivan or Stewart McDonald parts whoever was supplying Gibson in the latter part of 1987 and early 1988. Ring weighs 3.04 LBS, It sounds as good as any later Rich era banjo. Spikes at 7th,9th and the 11th frets, its in excellent condition with no repairs it does have some patina to the metal and some normal finish wear. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY This is a VERY rare extended/shifted keyboard, the same accordion the legendary Art Van Damme played at one point in his career. The keyboard layout is G to high C. This is a DOUBLE TONE CHAMBER with TWO low reeds and a middle. This is how Van Damme wanted it as he never used the piccolo reed. There is one LOW and one MIDDLE in the chamber. There are 10 treble switches plus the palm master. There is a sliding mute switch for added mellowness. There are 6 bass switches. This is 3/5 reed arrangement. The microphones were old and non functioning and have been removed. They can easily be replaced with internal or the more efficient external mics (I highly recommend either external mics or playing through a microphone if amplification is needed). I always played it acoustically without needing microphones. There is a small scratch on the palm master as I have photographed, and light tarnish on the bass switches. None of this effects playability at all! The accordion is in tune to my ears, but ALL accordions no matter how old, can use touchups. I am selling because I have suffered irreversible health issues (6 strokes in the last 2 years) and just do not want to damage this accordion in any way by playing it. I am the 2nd owner of this 2002 370/12 timeless Rickenbacker Mapleglo. It magically projects and sings like an acoustic guitar, so you can play it without using an amplifier. This enhances the sound when played through an amp. To optimize the powered jangle, the original owner removed the Balance Control pot because it lowers the output of the rhythm and treble pickups, even when set at 10. To further improve the jangle, he also had his luthier replace the plastic nut with a custom brass nut, cut to widen the space between each pair of strings, making chording easier. The only issue I found was the intonation, so I had a skilled luthier replace the six-screw saddle with a 12-screw saddle and perform a set-up, making it easy to become hypnotized when playing through a Vox AC or Roland JC120 amp. If you purchase a Rickenbacker 12-string with the 6-string saddle, plan on spending at least another $350 for a luthier to change the 6-string saddle to a 12-string saddle. A stereo cord from Sweetwater will be included to take advantage of the Ric-O-Sound feature that enhances the chime and jangle. This guitar was never gigged by the original owner or me. There is no fret-wear and the finish is beautiful, with one small scuff and a few tiny dents on the back that did not show up in the photos and (it arrived that way). The Original Rickenbacker Case, Care Manual, Ric-O-Sound stereo cord, 2 sets of Rickenbacker strings, original pick-guards and six-screw saddle are included.

Excellent condition. Aside from a pro re-fret and replaced nut(original nut is not broken and its inside the case), its 100% original. No cracks, breaks, repairs, overspray, etc... its an incredibly solid and original guitar. All the electronics have the original and un-molested solder joints, and the two original PAFs are also un-molested. This particular 61 LP/SG has an spectacular neck profile, which reminds me more of a late 59 early 60 Les Paul Std, with a round back, than the later paper thin and flat back of the neck. Its also probably the loudest solid body electric guitar acoustically that Ive ever heard. The bridge PAF really reminds me of the early Zeppelin era tone, or the Greta Van Fleet SG tone, which is very mellow, but cuts through really well, while the neck PAF is very big and bold sounding, more like the lead clean tone from No quarter. The guitar also sounds incredible when used in a high gain situation. These PAFs are not too microphonic, and they sound very tight when pushing the amp drive beyond classic rock traditional amount of gain. I have removed the tremolo arm because it got in the way of the tone and volume controls for the neck pickup, which I use a lot, but will install it back for the new owner before shipping it. This is the best SG Ive came across so far, and those who knows me, know that I have a bit of experience with vintage Gibson/Fender guitars. The only reason Im letting this guitar go, along with a lot of gear that Im selling, its to help finance another purchase that is a whole lot more than this guitar. So, no trades of any kind on this guitar. I will be taking more detailed pics of the guitar, like headstock, neck heel, back of the guitar, frets, original case, etc... and will post them here right away. Price is $30k for the guitar. I bought the body and neck husk and had it put together with fender parts by petrs violin shop in Anchorage Alaska. fender usa highway 66 electronics, knobs, and pickups, fender locking tuners. original hagstrom bridge and tailpiece with original trem arm. original frets and nut. plays amazing with nice low action. there is a crack in the neck pocket that is stable, I tried to capture it in the photos. it is stable so I never injected any glue into it. just dont want to be one of those guys with a vintage strat claiming that crack is just in the laquer, its definitely in the wood. comes well packed in a hardshell fender case that is basically brand new. one of a kind piece. I hate to sell it but bills and such.

Michael Fix-It isnt a business, Im a music software developer by trade who does physical repair and modifications to guitars, amps, electronic instruments and effects as a hobby. Ive been repairing keyboard and setting up guitars for decades, but have just recently geared up with everything I need to safely work on tube amps and am starting to build up some more experience beyond working on just my own gear. I have some free space on my bench, would you like to cover the materials and a small fraction of my time while I work on your gear? I cant promise fast (I have no stock in parts and might need to order new tools as the need arises) but I can promise you a top spot in the waiting list and that I wont be rushing any jobs or taking on any jobs Im not capable of. Im still learning a lot and benefit from the time spent - so I wont be charging you by the hour, well work something out. Also, if I cant fix it, I wont and I wont make it worse! 48 years of experience with a soldering iron! ;) Third update of this ad now and after the first several months its been going great so far, many guitars have been made great players once again, a Telecaster got returned to single coils, a Boss delay/sampler pedal is triggerable again, a Marshall JCM 800 2203 got an electrolytic capacitor and screen resistor replacement, and a 66 Fender Bassman and Yamaha CS-10 synth are currently sharing the bench! (And as Im still updating this ad, youll be happy to know I made it through my first amp repairs without electrocution! Hopefully that trend continues.) Just as a rough idea on pricing: $60 for guitar setups that dont require extra measures (like fretwork, which is extra). Thats also a basic minimum for any other guitar repair work as a setup is always the first and last process required anyway. Basic setup includes restringing (please bring new strings) truss rod/neck relief adjustment (and if that cant be done we stop there and ask you how to proceed, as the guitar needs major work) tremolo (vibrato/whammy) adjustment, action height (bridge saddle height) adjustment, intonation (string length adjustment), fretboard oiling (if unfinished), hardware oiling, nut lubrication (I just draw in the slots with pencil lead/graphite), minor fret end dressing (round off any sharp fret corners on the fretboard edges) and very minor fretwork. (Often well find a single proud fret is making the guitar buzz on one note and that causes us to have to raise the entire action to compensate. I now have some very expensive tools from Stew-Mac that make quick work of this. Can save us from having to do a complete fret leveling/recrowning/dressing, but if need be Im set up to do that now for guitars with 7.25, 9.5, 10, and 12 fretboard radiuses. Re-fretting is still beyond my capabilities, as is major woodwork, particularly on acoustics.)
