Thanks. www.headwatersboatworks.com Who we are and what we do: We are a small sawmill operation located in the foothills of the White Mountains, Located in Orford, NH We provide custom sawmill services and Lumber sales, and pride ourselves on quality products and customer service. We buy quality logs from local reputable loggers and have them trucked to our yard where we saw them into lumber for retail. The land owner, loggers and truckers are all local, this means the money stays local and keeps our economy vibrant. What we dont do: We do not try to compete with the big box stores i.e. the corporate home improvement centers, for the cheapest 2x4. First off, Canadian spruce is not the same as Eastern Hemlock. Different species, different products. Second, why would we? Our prices are fair but we wont enter the race to the bottom. Something to consider; You get what you pay for but more than that, very little of the money you spend at the corporate home improvement center will stay in your community, almost all of it goes right down to Wall Street to pay for more lawyers and lobbyists. And isnt that what everybody really needs... We would rather see the money go to our neighbors and reinvest into our community than a corporation who will use it to help fuel the rampant white collar crime that is eating this country from the inside out! So instead of funneling all the money out of the community, think about supporting a local business first, because whether its ours or someone elses, a thriving local economy benefits everyone!
